Shakespeare's Europe, Europe's Shakespeare(s) was a 2015 conference held at The Hive, Worcester by ESRA and University of Worcester.

Our response to brief involved creating a range of physical 3D models inspired by landmarks and architecture referencing different European cultures and traditions. This concept referred back to the conference's vision of 'Shakespeare's Europe' as a changing and shifting entity that is constantly reimagined and revisited over time. The toy-like models with their iconic shapes and playful colour palette aimed to reinforce an idea of creative curiosity and wonder, and could be repositioned and recomposed to create new landscapes.

We created a range of print products for the conference, including a full brochure and a unique reverse gate-fold leaflet design. Simplifying the Shakespeare poster design into a simple vector logotype enabled the visual identity to be recreated across bags and other merchandise.

ESRA Logos

Following our work for the ESRA conference, we were commissioned to create a new logo for the organisation. The ESRA committee voted on a selection of logo ideas that we provided around concepts of communication, theatre, research and connection. Eventually a sleek, typographic option was selected that visually promotes the idea of research creating unity and connections across Europe.
